Recipe for an awesome Saturday:

  1. Sleep in.
  2. Have biscuits and gravy and Cheerwine for lunch.
  3. Drink chai tea and revel in the fact that it’s cold outside in October.*
  4. Read a comforting fluff book in your favorite armchair.
  5. Consider making soup for dinner.

*The latter part of this one only really works if you’re used to living in the South, where it’s often still 90 degrees on October 1. I imagine people used to colder climes are getting a little pissed, especially people used to blizzardy, icy winters. But for me, since 60 degree-highs are usually only the dead of winter and last for two weeks before returning to near-furnace heat, it is a little bit of chilly heaven.
